Setting multiple signatures in Gmail

The request to allow for multiple signatures in Gmail is a long-standing one. Until Google announced the feature to create and use multiple signatures in Gmail, the only way to address that requirement was through Canned Responses ( Templates ).  Following the announcement and a subsequent deferment, the feature is now being made available in personal Gmail addresses. Hence, this blog, which for ease of navigation, is divided into the following sections: The first step To create a new signature To edit a signature To delete a signature Setting signature defaults To insert or change a signature The first step Visit the Signature section in the General tab under Gmail settings ( https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/general ).  If you do not have any signature created, you will find the Signature section as below. If on the other hand, you already have a signature created, you will find that included in the newly designed Signature section.

Once that layout is selected, the relevant sections where you can include your search definitions for individual panels and also their relative position with respect to the inbox are displayed. Filling out the "search query" for the Multiple Inboxes panels will require some thinking on your part based on how you like to manage your emails.  For example, I have the habit of archiving emails once they are dealt
